My journey: March 2007

im just about to go out but im in the house by myself so i figured i would take this oppertunity to take posey pictures of my new haircut and post them up here. so basically i really am not pleased with my haircut. but i used a myspace style angled picture to capture it at its best. i think it will grow on me...not just literally and once i wash it myself and such it will look a bit better.

as you can see my mullet is finally gone once and for all. i mean i had the extreme one then that braid and to be fair it was getting out of hand again so its gone. im not sure i really have much to say. however, now i have this blog i am constantly documenting my life in third person in my head...its becoming rather annoying. also everytime i take a picture i think "thats one for the blog" which really just makes me think im not as cool as i like to pretend i am. and i really do like to pretend im cool. right now for example i have a gangsta style neckercheif tied round my wrist and my usual bling. i think i can fool most people.

in other news im losing my accent. i hate it, its like loosing my voice, i have to concentrate to speak with a scottish accent. if any of you have house numbers hook me up and i will give you a call so you can help me get it back ! kathryn i already have yours and i am so going to phone soon. i mean its not like im totally american but i just cant deal.

it wasn't til i moved here that i noticed the moon moves in the sky.

this blog really has the potencial to be a vent fest but as much as the thoughts swim around in my head im not sure which ones to pick out and elaborate on. i mean i have a captive audiance. i konw i cna't spell btu why deos it mtater wehn yuo cna raed tihs

the cure - lets go to bed

On the Monday after St Patricks day me and Philippa went to New York for Spring Break. I feel like this deserves a separate entry (I just posted one about st patricks day under this one…yes you are spoilt) I loved it. Basically NY is the best ever (well I like berlin and Amsterdam too but its up there). I had such a good time and I loved everything, we did all the tourist stuff and….the best thing ever ever ever happened…I found Magners cider !!! We flew to Chicago first, heres a picture of it from the plane, it was strange to see it from so far above.

We arrived in new york a little sleepy but pretty excited

our hotel was very sexy, I had the top bunk and we each had our own wee tv screen. Ace.

every room had its own ipod docking station, the hotel was called the pod so I reckon that’s why

it snowed right before we got there

we got the subway down to the bottom of manhattan and the got the ellis island ferrie over to the statue of liberty. The sky was so perfect and so my pictures came out pretty well.

I loved seeing old building in the middle of new york the contrast was beautiful

we walked all the way from the bottom of manhattan through to the top, zig zaging around to over next to the Brooklyn bridge and through china town. It was around an 8 mile walk ! we seen a tun of cool stuff though and I eve managed to squeeze in some shopping.

some official ny cheescaek. Was so good. It was voted best in ny or something but basically I loved it. The girl in the background is not just a random, we met up with some folks from England that we know from Kansas for dinner. Oh and we are sitting outside because the place is right next to broadway and all the shows just got out so we had to freeze. Plus we are students so we bought a big cheesecake and cut it up with a fork cos its cheaper. Yas.

Times square was by far my favourite place in ny. Im not sure why, maybe because its just so over the top. I took loads of pictures of it and we went there everynight.
