Happy new year ! Last night we all went to the Vancouver art box show as Greg and i were exhibiting some of our wonderful work....As i said before it was an open call to all artists who could buy up to 5 boxes for $10 each. You could then do whatever you wanted with the box and on the night all boxes were priced at $100 of which the artist got $50 and the rest went to organization and charity. good times. We left early so i don't know if our boxes sold but when we left only around 10 out of however many were there (perhaps more than 100) had sold so im not too hopeful! would quite like it back though..got a space on my wall that needs filling. Obv $50 would fill it much nicer....
So here are some pictures of my art and some pictures from the show.It was at the Autumn Brook Gallery on 4th and Granville. It was really good to see what everyone had done with their box and i really enjoyed the evening. plus we got some free wine, always a bonus.
gregs one is on the right
my favorite one
Before the show i had a pretty amazing day with Debi, we hung out on main street went to a few antique shops and got our photos taken in an old photo booth ! we also went to the regional assembly of text and Debi spent all her money. We popped into Alice's work and had some tea, heres Debi with her little china tea cup.
Also on Monday night Debi and Greg and I went to granville island brewry and did a bit of a taste test on the beers they had on tap. It was a lot of fun and good to taste them all. I like the honey lager best but it wasn't on tap that particular day, boo !
This dog was all up in Gregs chicken strippers
And heres me with the jigsaw, i was pretty much glued to it for a week but iv finally got it done, woooooooooop. lot of fun :) thank you !
Ok im off, have a good new year and il let you know what i get up to !
