I think it is safe to say that i should discontinue travelling. i appear to have extremely bad luck with airports and flights. is it just me ? ok so heres the story, il keep it shortish.

my flight was supposed to leve kansas at 3:20pm. i got to the airport on time, was a little emotional but i felt like everything was alright. the plane then had a broken engine so they had to change it -30mins- we are on our way. i have a 1 hour lay over in denver colorado so this is alright, not cutting it too fine. however there is some trouble in denver and the plane has to circle for a bit before it can land. we land at 5:15 local time. according to my ticked they close check in 10mins before the flight takes off, which is 5:30. according to the airport they close check in and take off at 5:16.

i miss the flight

travelling alone has never been my forte (spelt wrong but u get me)
i am leaving kansas and all my friends behind
i have no way of contacting debi

as you can maybe guess im a little emotional. so i go to customer services. he is the most sullen faced man in the world. the next avaiable flight(after around 30mins of searching, during which time he said exactely nothing) is the next day at 5pm. thats 24hours away. it stops in portland oregon and will get to alaska at midnight. more than 24 hours after im due to arrive. i have no option but to take it. i ask him what im supposed to do for the night.

he is rude and tells me thats the only flight and hes done all he can. i leave and compose myself at the bathroom....i.e cry

i go back around 40mins later, his shift is over thank goodness and another woman is there, i tell ehr my situation and ask where my bags are what the deal is etc. she tells me i wont need to re check my bags and she will get them moved directly to that flight. she books me into a hotel for the night and gives me $14 in food vouchers.

the bus on the way here broke down and i had to walk for 10mins

so thats where i am right now. in some random marriot hotel in denver colorado. i cant get hold of debi. it seems pretty nice here but its far from the ideal situation ! mum and dad don't worry, i will be right back on track tomorrow.

hey, i will be getting a copy of my film made tonight but until then heres something to tide you over. so the last scene in the movie is a concert which we put together and got our actress to front the DPs band (state of empathy i guess they are on myspace). we had a lot of footage so desided to put together a music video as an extra on the DVD so here it is:

ok so i just realised i have been with holding quite a few pictures from you, how have you guys been getting by? well you most probably havent, but dont fret im back with avengence...well not really but i have a few pictures that may be of interest. first up heres a rather dull and messy picture of my room, by sexy new phone has a function where it takes three pics and lines them up. super cool.

there was a crazy tornado in southern Kansas this weekend, i think around 11 people were killed and the whole city was wiped out and completely flattened. the weather was pretty bad here and the river was raging. all a little scarey.

ok i need to go i have a meeting with my marketing group at 9:30 and then a presentation tomorrow at 9:30 after my 8am class ! but then thats all my classes done and i can concentrate on my 3 papers and finishing up my movie, plus start revising for my final as well as getting drunk and doing everything i have not done yet !!!! impossible. and im supposed to pack ! ahhhhhhhh

hello, sorry for leaving it so long before writing a blog (and i was so going to do one today even if you didnt say anything Sophi!) but iv been snowed under with work. Everything is drawing to a close here and all my classes are asking me for papers and the like. i had 2 exams and a paper last week and this week i have to do a presentation and start work on another paper.

in other news, my film is totally filmed and now we are just working on editing it. its going to be so good, i will most definately post it on here once it is done. we filmed all last weekend and the weekend before and its only 6minutes long ! well it will be after we spend forever editing it. its due next week too. but after i am all done with class i only have 1 final (at 7:30am) and then im done until september. i think im going to do a documentary class next semester which will be super cool.

i really wanted to put some pictures up here but i cant find my camera lead. i have the one for my phone though so maybe i can upload some from there if i have any good ones. my computer is really messed up and i need to get it fixed, the screen keeps going all red on me.

i dont really have much else to say, debi is having a tun of adventures in nelson right now so same old lawrence is sounding a little boring.

i had ice cream the other day and it was called hunka hunka chunck and it was sooooo good. im going to have to go everywhere in lawrence and eat before i go. ahhhh its so soon, im sad but....whales the size of buses ? ooooh yeh.

sorry this isnt so interesting. but it will make a change for all you avid blog readers. il work on some pictures and see what i can do. i miss you all x
