sorry about the depressing title but i went to the sugarcult gig last night and the spill canvas, hallifax and moneen were supporting. the spill canvas were amazing. i love them so much, and i found out that they recorded there 2nd album here in lawrence ! how cool is that. the music scene here is just unbelieveable, in the coming month the future heads, imogen heap, ani difranco, kasabian and other bands i cant remember are all coming here ! who said kansas was a sleepy old dusty town. even if i had a bad year id be totally chuffed with the music i have seen. so yeh the lyric is from the spill canvas- all hail the heartbreaker, and it says in a ridiculously emo way how it feels to be living in america when everyone you love is back in scotland. But dont worry im coping just fine :) dont go worrying about me.
the weather just now is so perfect, like the first few days of summer at home when its sunny and hot but the air is fresh and not all clammy and humid like it normally is here. got a class at 1:30 and its 12:30 right now so i figure i should leave soon.
its really annoying cos all my music is just on my ipod and not on my laptop so i cant burn cds for people or get all the benefits of the new itunes. maybe for christmas il ask for an external hard drive with all my music on it :D that would be nice !
just gonna post this now so i can phone my mum and dad but il be right back !
