And when you're holding me, we make a pair of parentheses.

Heres the update, christmas 2006 started off with a bang, well a drunken night out at the central on christmas eve. il start with those pictures and then some of christmas day. and if your lucky i might theorise about christmas day.

as usual we picked up a bit of a crew which was ace. and then we headed up the timber which id never been up before, have to admite i was a little scared ! but it was totally fine and i had an ace time, really fun, probably my best day boarding, felt like i learnt alot.

after nearly ripping up my calfs with general snowboarding pain we headed home to make a start on dinner YUM. we had sweet roasted potatoes and normal ones and 2 chickens and loads of other stuff.

Thats it for the pictures.

Chirsmas day was pretty different from the customary 25th iv grown up with and enjoyed for the last 20 years. Different in a good way though and i think the diversity made for a thought-provoking and noteworthy day. My only comment for christmas away from home is that for me christmas is christmas not because of presents and not because of religion and perhaps not even because of family. The reason christmas is what it is, to me, is routine. If i was here every year, this would be christmas. its just the word to describe a day where you do something which you do forever.

i'm glad you two are having such a lovely time. steph and i had a lazy time in omaha which is good because we didn't sleep well while we were there (shared the guest room with ben, our two-year-old nephew who sleeps with loud toys and cries for his mommy in the middle of the night). steph won the larger half of the christmas crackers both times, the contents of which were: a blue hat, a plastic santa head stencil, and a joke; a maroon hat, a magic trick, and a joke. what fun! everyone was jealous. we're going to make it a tradition. we went to the taproom tuesday night to shake our asses to the amazing djs sappho (our friend meredith from seattle) and chrissy marie. this friday we are going to first fridays i believe, and out to eat and dance with some gay boys. when is your flight back here? steph and i want to pick you up, but i'll have to make sure i get off work for it. we miss you both a ton.
love, alicia xx
