life in east van

hey guys, debbie's at work again so im making soup and having a gin (thanks billy) and thought i would do a wee blog entry for those of you who are having withdrawal symptoms from the last picture heavy entry. We havn't really done much, just getting settled into our wee house etc and trying to figure out where everything is since its hard to pin point the landlady without getting attacked by her dog! (she has given us a bowl of dog food to bribe him against eating our legs). i came home one day at 11.45am and she was having vodka's with her friend in the garden and asked me if i wanted to join them so i thought, why not, i then got presented with a pint of vodka and orange!!! was a bit of a struggle since it wasnt even the afternoon but i managed, and it was good cause it got me to know her so now i feel we can speak to her a bit better as before we thought she was actually crazy! in other news the weather has been really sunny, with the odd day of rain. we have spent a couple of days down the lake picnicing/sunbathing

our picnic at the lake

some posing in the park

on sat i went along to the local farmers market down at the lake (i seem to spend a lot of time at the lake) debbie wanted to come but she was far to sleepy and had a full day of work and night of partying ahead

it was soooo hot yesterday so we spent the whole day out in the sun reading books, eating ice lollies and watching dogs, oh and we seen a racoon

i had to stop wearing my hat out in the sun as i was starting to get a tan line across my forehead, not cool

the clouds were very cool

on friday we went to main st and found me a new bike, i took it for a test ride and fell in love with it, they gave it the once over then we walked/cycled home (its very scary geting a ride on the handlebars while debbie pedals!) when debbie went to work i went for a big cycle round the area, it was great but my backside wasn't so happy, think i might buy a gel filled seat cover for longer bike rides. i escorted debbie to work this evening and cycled home and my rear was still feeling a bit sensitive!

oh and the landlady provided us with a sofa, you wont believe the hasstle to get it in the house, we had to take the legs of the sofa, the door of the porch and push it through the bedroom door, but we got it in and we'r really enjoying having somewhere to sit other than the bed

debbies off work for 3 days and nights in a row so if its nice weather tomorrow we are planing on going on a fondue lunch date and maybe have a few drinks :)

right im off to try my soup made from coleslaw mix
