and the truth is, i miss you

today is the 8th of august. i just got back from target where i bought bed covers for jayhawker cos they dont have any there. i got black ones with a red blanket cos they were on sale :) im gonna have so much extra stuff when i come back ! there is a tkmaxx here but its called tjmaxx which is just odd. i got up at 7 again today and phoned my mum which was nice but there was an echo on the line which was pretty annoying. but it was nice to here a familiar voice and remember that things are still going on at home ! after breakfast we got a bus to the woodruff lecture room where we got talks on classes and cultural adjustment and things, it was pretty interesting. i had to go for a language interview to show i speak english which was a bit of a waste of time. also got a list of all the clubs here, there are some pretty cool choices like the 'jayhwker stunt group" and the juggling group and film and radio ones too. theres is also a snowboarding one but i dont know where we would go cos theres no hills here. its so odd cos the road up to the uni has a tiny slope, like maybe the same as the bridges and they actually call it a mountain, its called like mount orion or something and all the americans are like "phew u gotta be fit to walk to class" and it honestly takes around 15 mins to get acros the campus so they are infact odd. im gonna have to go to sleep cos yet again im knackerd but il probably post again tomorrow, i have my medical check in in the morning then i get my internet id andamerican email and stuff. today i signed up with commerce bank so i can pay my cheque in (they spell it check) and i got a free tshirt and whistle which is pretty cool
