last night i got wasted on an illegal substance....ALCOHOL !!! we went to free state which is a pub downtown on mass street - the main street here. it was a really cool palce and they brew the beer through the back but you can see it cos its behind this big glass window which is pretty smart. so i had a beer ($1.75) but it tasted horrible so i moved swiftly on to double vodkas with cloudy lemonade ($5.25) a double measure here is 3 ounzes but i dunno what that is in ml. they were pretty good and the bar man asked me if i wanted to start a tab at the bar ! stayed there till it shut which unfortunately was 12 and then got a taxi home, the taxis are stranbge here its like a set price for the number of people there were 4 of us so it was $15 1 person is $9.
Before the pub yesterday we went to a free bbq which was organised by this christian group but they didnt ram it in your face and they actually do a lot of cool stuff with fair trade and environmental stuff. so i signed up ! but i dunno il see what there email says. i had a meat burger first it was good but a little pink so i went for a veggie one next but it was rubbish, not at all like at home. they always have a veggie option here though so its good. think i might go to mrs Es tonight for tea, thats the cafe place i get my meal plan from but i can spend it other places too it just seems to be nearest to where i live. im currently on 12 meals a week but i think il change it to 6. you can go for breakfast lunch or dinner and the meals carry over so you can have 3 one day if you want :)
think my flatmate is buying a wireless hub today so if all goes well i might be able to update with some pictures later on.

i am going to a veggie lunch organised by them tomorrow, its the free food i cant stay away. dont have time to write a full entry but i have the net in my flat now so il do one at some point tomorrow x
