these tropicana drinks are free, fun and sunshine, theres enough for everyone

hello :) went to a pool party last night, it was the best thing iv done since i got here ! i had a tasty burger from the bbq then sat and talked for a bit. wasnt gonna go in the pool but once a few people went in and it continued to be 40 degrees at 6pm i desided to get in. didnt have a swimsuit so i went in in shorts and tshirt. which weighed me down a litle but i didnt do much swimming. it was so ace, someone brought a massive yoga ball so we played with that for a while. almost got knocked out by it but ghovie jumped infront and possibley saved me life. met my first american friend !! here name is mara but you say it like maura. she has a car and a flat and is over 21 so this could be a useful contact :p !we stayed in the pool til around 9 and were some of the last ones out. dried off almost immediately. sat next to the pool for a while and decided to go to mass street tomorrow, which is the main street here. also found out they have 18 and up bars that just sell juice and that but it could be cool. not really missing drink to be honest. next week is hawk week and it sounds amazing theres loads of free stuff a movie on the hill and free icecream and cookies ! yesterday there was a housing fair in the kansas union, me and katarina already have flats but we went along to try get some free stuff. she talked to some people for about 15mins so i could get a free cookie, but it was really worth it...so good (the gym here is free so hopefully il start balancing all the food out soon). then we did this fishing thing where you put the rod over this screen thing and they attach a prize. katarina got a red blanket and i got a rubbish frisbee :( so we asked this guy called manwell...or something like that and he won me a tshirt that says neismith hall, which is where i am staying, score. they have so much uni merchandise here, to the point you get it on shoelaces fake tattoos cufflinks and pretty much anything else you can think of. pretty much got the morning off today since i did my health check thing yesterday and i speak english, but i need to go pick up a few things and pay my cheque into the bank. i got an american sim for my phone yesterday it costs me 35cents to txt home and 15cents for people from home to txt me. im gonna post some pics i took in the last few days x
